If you are new to scouting or are looking to join a local pack, welcome! We are Pack 344, based in Wexford, PA. We meet weekly as a pack or den and also enjoy many different activities such as camping, pinewood derby, canoeing, fishing, fundraising, park visits and much much more.
Scouting is fun way to make new friends, learn new life skills and enjoy indoor and outdoor skills!
Scouting America provides the nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training, which helps young people be “Prepared. For Life.®” The Scouting organization is composed of more than 1 million youth members between the ages of 5 and 21 and more than 628,000 volunteers in local councils throughout the United States and its territories.
The key tenants drive all we do.
Scout Oath: On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
Scout Law: A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
Scout Mission: The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
We are an active pack and aim to have at least 3 campouts during the year, as well as the much anticpated summer camp at the huge scout camp ground at Heritage. Two of our favorite locations for our other camps are in North Park and Lake Morraine.
In addition, we have visited Allegheny observatory, numerous guided hikes in North Park with local rangers, a Waldemeer trip, fishing at a beautiful private pond, crafted wooden tool cases, raced pinewood derby cars on our own track and much more.
